Alpha Feedback Window Ends May 31
Hi everyone! Spencer here. There are a few additional updates below, but I primarily wanted to let everyone know that the window for Alpha feedback for Dungeon World 2 closes at the end of this month, May 31, 2026.
If you haven't read/played any of the Alphas, you can find them here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Hp3f8laeI1bf-pRrwD9nXqkRxZAbB_PN?usp=drive_link
You can provide feedback in any of the following ways:
- Fill out one or more of these feedback forms for the Blue, Red, and Final Alphas with as much or as little detail as you'd like
- Comment on the feedback thread of the DW Subreddit
- Join the DW+ Discord server and post your thoughts in the various DW2 Alpha Playtest channels available
After the window closes you can still post to the links above, but we might not be able to act on your feedback in the same way.
Helena and I have been working hard on the Beta, using our own observations of each Alpha and the great feedback we've already received, to make Dungeon World 2 into something truly special. We intend to write some more posts in the future detailing our design for the Beta; why some decisions and priorities have stayed the same since the pre-Alpha, as well as why others have drastically changed.
DW2 at Gen Con
I will be at Gen Con again this year, at the Burning Wheel HQ Booth. Last year was my first time at Gen Con and it was a blast! It's not fully locked in yet, but we're also aiming to have the Dungeon World 2 Quickstart available at Gen Con as a physical booklet. The Quickstart will be the first preview of Dungeon World 2's Beta ruleset, so feel free to stop by and grab a copy.
We'll post again about the Quickstart (with pictures) closer to the date, hopefully confirming its availability at Gen Con.
Congrats to Stonetop
I wanted to give a big shoutout to Stonetop by Jeremy Strandberg, which just released last month. Jeremy has been a pillar of the Dungeon World community since ye olde Google+ days, and has been working on Stonetop since at least 2014. The hearth fantasy game was once a hack of Dungeon World, and still has a lot of its DNA.
I'm sure many people reading this already know all about Stonetop, but if you haven't it's a real treat.
Thanks for reading,
Spencer
