DW2 At Gen Con 2026

Hi Everyone, Spencer here. As we're gearing up to release the DW2 Beta QS during Gen Con 2026 at the end of this month, I wanted to give everyone some more information about the convention itself.

New Booth Location

The DW2 QS can be found at the Burning Wheel HQ booth, which is located at Booth #2703 this year. In a previous post I linked a map of where the booth was, but that map has now been updated to this one. It's the same area as last year, but the exact same booth. Stop by and chat with me about DW2, check out the Beta QS, and maybe browse the cool stuff the BW HQ team has at the booth.

"State of the Dungeon" Panel

On Saturday, August 1 at 2pm EDT I'll be hosting the State of the Dungeon panel. During this panel I'll dive into the details of DW2, including how the process has been and what’s the game status now, as well as answering questions by attendees. We'll also try our best to have Helena call in to join the panel remotely, so you can hear from both of us.

One-Shot Adventures

I'll also be running the "Vault of the Molten City" adventure on Thursday afternoon, Friday afternoon, and Saturday evening. These sessions will use the Beta QS rules, so if you want to jump right into trying a game of the Beta, feel free to sign up.

DW2 Beta QS Release

As mentioned yesterday, we'll be releasing the Beta QS digitally for free some time during Gen Con. We won't commit to a specific date just yet, as we're still preparing the materials and want to be flexible in case of last-minute delays, but we're very excited to deliver the first Beta materials into your hands.
